Hello there fellow nail biters! I am a Representative of Monitors in Motion who just happens to love the anticipation of the best day of the year- January 30th!
Having a hard time imagining your BlackBerry Z10 in your hands? I got so excited about the following topic I submitted it to Blackberry Empire to share.
Here in Abbotsford Canada something snapped. I had such a hard time figuring out what the size and feel of the new BlackBerry Z10 would be like in real life that I went onto the internet to get the dimensions. What I discovered was more than I expected; and closer to what I hoped.
BlackBerry is all about using the device with one hand. With that in mind, the size of the Z10 should not be big. But what does 5.08″ by 2.55″ feel like? Armed with a ruler and a pen and scissors I measured and cut a piece of cardboard. But before I did there was another thing that caught my eye. The BlackBerry PlayBook. How would the Z10 look against the PlayBook? Odd thing is the PlayBook is also 5.08″ tall. OK. Interesting. So what about the width? How does that compare? As it turns out there is a correlation where three Z10’s lined up on top of the PlayBook side by side will neatly cover the PlayBook. Da Vinci code? A perfect structural balance? Take a look at the attached photos, then cut out your own BlackBerry Z10!
A Cardboard mock up will act as a sort of training tool for your new Z10 experience. The extra length, and the narrower Bezel compared to the Torch 9860 will do the trick for accommodating a better virtual keyboard in the profile setting. Has anyone done something similar to this? Sound off below, especially if you have “built your own BlackBerry Z10”.
