
Well the final BlackBerry 10 port-a-thon before the January 30th launch has now gone into overtime. Alec Saunders had issued a challenge to have 20,000+ apps submitted this weekend and so far they have 19,071 with a couple extra hours added to the clock.

Great work from RIM and all the developers out there, not just from this port-a-thon but from all of the ones RIM had for putting up such big numbers. Every port-a-thon that RIM had put up outstanding numbers and it’s just another example of the excitement for BlackBerry 10.

RIM has stepped up big time during this port-a-thon as they have given out over $1.3 million to all the developers so far and they are still going. Let us know if any of you submitted your apps and how many.
