BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) Temporarily Down For Users In Asia

Reported by Globe, looks like RIM is working around the clock to improve every aspect of BlackBerry, one of its main features BBM will be undergoing maintenance, it will only affect users in Asia.

As you can see from the Tweet above, Globe states:

ADVISORY: BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) will be temporarily unavailable to BlackBerry users in Asia Pacific including the Philippines (i.e., Globe, Smart and Sun subscribers) on Jan. 20 from 2PM to 7PM. During this time, BlackBerry will conduct a service improvement activity. You’ll still continue to enjoy other Globe services such as calls and text.
