If you are a member of the BlackBerry Beta Zone then there may be an update to BBM waiting for you. It appears that BlackBerry has just begun to send out e-mails about the new update so we still aren’t sure if it’s an open beta or one of those limited ones that it has been in the past. If you haven’t actually received an e-mail yet, but want to see if it’s available just check in the BlackBerry Beta Zone app.
From the reports we have the update appears to be a bug fix release, so if any of you notice something different be sure to let us know. Also be sure to understand that updating to this new version may cause you to lose your existing chats.
