The WhatsApp developers have BlackBerry on their priority list with yet another beta update for BlackBerry 10 smartphone devices, a nice change log with many fixes, improvements and a few new features.
Change log:
- Added custom ringtones for incoming calls (Settings>Notification Settings>Call Notifications)
- Added year / month subdirectories for received pictures, and WhatsApp-specific subdirectories for received audio and video
- Added counts to Fav/Groups/Contacts tabs when pulling down the list past the beginning
- Improve highlighting of search results so spaces between adjacent matched words are also highlighted
- Fixed and issue where long profile names would sometimes not save correctly
- Fixed an issue where the (optional) floating action bar could disappear when opening/closing ‘Share Contact’
- Fixed an issue where showing/hiding the chat bubble context menu on the Passport could cause the chat screen to snap to the bottom
- Fixed an issue where the chat screen would reset itself after opening/closing the ‘Send Location’ screen on 10.3.1
- Improved reliability of message backup/restore, due to errors caused by the BlackBerry ID reliability problems in 10.3.1
- Miscellaneous fixes and updates for voice calling
