According to the article on Inside BlackBerry Developer Blog, RIM wants to “keep fueling your [developer’s] creativity and desire to build the best BlackBerry 10 applications leading up to the official release.”
Here’s a brief list of what’s included in the new WebWorks and Ripple fix:
- Addition of the blackberry.ui.dialog APIs that provide two methods allowing developers to launch asynchronous dialogs requesting feedback from the user.
- Addition of an API that, in conjunction with the standard HTML5 onLine API, will let you know just how connected you really are. This will tell you if you are on VPN, BlackBerry® Bridge™, WiFi®, etc.
- Adjustments on how events are handled.
- Bug fixes. If you use a module loader, you can now also use BlackBerry WebWorks. Webworks.js and module loaders now play nicely together.
- Improvements. You can now sign your application at the same time as enabling remote web inspector.
