Share Price in Toronto Rise Due to BlackBerry Gift Platform

In case you’re a bit behind on news, RIM has added to the App World, a billing service yesterday that adds a gifting function to its BBM.  It has been reported that RIM’s BlackBerry shares traded flat on the Toronto markets yesterday closing at $65.30 USD.

New mobile gifting platform will integrate with BlackBerry App World and carrier billing systems to allow BlackBerry subscribers to instantly gift airtime, apps and other carrier services from one subscriber to another using BBM

According to reports, RIM trades on the Toronto Stock exchange and dominates the technology subsector of the market. Reportedly, for the year 2011, RIM is up about 10%, on par with Apple.
