Oh my poor 9930; all dressed for a party, but no Prince Charming! While I bemoan the lack of TB7, my 9930 is stepping out in style with BEAT; a new theme by Ring Walker of Walker Themes. Known for his fanciful clocks, signal meters and animation, Walker has brought his best to this OS7 theme.
BEAT is a stylish theme that comes in several colors. I have the original BEAT, which has blue highlights, and what you see above is the purple version. It also comes in green, pink and red. If you wanna dance to a BEAT, you certainly have enough colors to do so!
The most prominent feature on this theme is the innovative clock on the left and the battery meter on the right. The OS6 version had the same intertwined clock and of course, animation that the OS7 themes can’t display right now because there is no true Theme Builder 7. (Come on RIM! Really??)
The theme is smooth and fast, there is no lag. The OS7 version, of course, has the trays. The menus are black with colored highlights to match the color of the theme. Clicking on the upper banner gives you your connections. The notifications bar also has the profiles and search icon as well as all the features of OS7 you have come to rely on, but Walker has added a stylish twist.
There is no weather slot, but as you can see above, I used BeWeather to add one up in the top banner. The colors are fabulous and the style unmistakably Walker. What’s not to love? Your Berry will be the best dressed on the runway with this theme.
BEAT is a great theme to dress up your BlackBerry OS7 phone. Get it at App World for $1.99. For all OS6 and OS7 devices. For each color, check App World for the proper link. Dance to your own tune and grab a copy of BEAT for your BlackBerry phone.
Thanks to Hamster and Mojave for their screen shots of this theme.
