From 29 August 2011 Swisscom will be offering the new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 smartphone. The new handset is thinnest BlackBerry® smartphone yet at only 10.5mm and includes a high performance full QWERTZ keyboard with a highly responsive touch display. Powered by the new BlackBerry® 7 OS, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 is built on a new performance-driven platform notably featuring a super fast 1.2 GHz processor. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will cost CHF 149 with the NATEL liberty medio service plan from all Swisscom shops and dealers.

Bern – The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is powered by the new BlackBerry 7 OS along with Liquid Graphics™ technology for fast, fluid graphics, a significantly enhanced BlackBerry® Browser and voice-activated Universal Search. It also features powerful specifications including a 2.8″ high resolution capacitive touch screen display which makes reading e-mail, websites and texts a very pleasant experience; a super fast 1.2 GHz processor; 8 GB on-board memory, expandable up to 40 GB and a 5.0 MP camera that supports HD video recording. In addition, this new smartphone supports Tri-Band HSPA+, Quad-Band GSM/EDGE and Wi-Fi®, resulting in fast data access and Internet browsing.

Available at all Swisscom shops and dealers from 29 August
In Switzerland, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone will be available from Swisscom and cost CHF 149 with the Natel Liberty medio subscription. These costs do not apply to all customers with an Xtra liberty surfing subscription. Without a subscription, the device costs CHF 799.–.
