As I’m browsing through the App World for my weekly App write up and some other news I figured I’d share this next app and story with you. The app is Photo Edit. The app allows you to edit photos right from your handset device, no external software needed. Adjust brightness levels, crop it a little, rotate or recolor the picture to make it perfect and then share it with your loved ones, especially during this holiday season.
The Photo editing software is developed by Pakistani technology firm, Five Rivers. According to the firm on Wednesday, they have become the best selling paid-for application for BlackBerry. The Lahore-based Five Rivers said its Photo Editor Suite had hit the top spot across all sectors on the BlackBerry AppWorld store.
“This is extremely good news for us and especially for the Pakistani IT industry,” Mahe Zehra Husain, the head of operations and product management at Five Rivers Technology, told AFP. “We feel we are on top of the world. This is incredible.” The application “has been in the top five paid applications for quite a while now and on Sunday made its way to the number one spot,” she said.
To get going, simply go to your gallery, and select “Edit Photo” from the menu.
