Instagram is coming to Windows Phone, no word on BlackBerry 10

During Nokia World 2013, set in Abu Dhabi, both Nokia and Instagram announced support for the Windows Phone platform.

During the speech, Kevin Systrom said:

“Our ultimate goal is to bring Instagram to everyone who wants to use it…We’re looking forward to watching the Windows Phone community use Instagram to capture and share beautiful moments in the coming weeks.”

It’s not that anyone would expect BlackBerry to be mentioned at a Nokia event, it’s just there has been little to no mention of BlackBerry regarding Instagram support. So, either they’re giving us the middle finger swiftly or they’re waiting patiently to announce it when they can. Let’s hope it’s the latter. However, the statement Kevin Systrom made doesn’t quite rule us out just yet.

In the meantime, users can sideload the Android version or we can all wait for the Native (third party) Instagram app, IGrann.

I’m not going to bother to ask whether or not Instagram should provide support to us BlackBerry users, it’s already evident 10x over that they should, we just have to sit back and wait.
