If you’ve been using BlackBerry 10 devices in the past, you’re going to be familiar with its gesture based navigation. The BlackBerry Priv runs on the Android mobile operating system, so you’re not going to see those features, however, there is an area on the Priv that uses something similar. The best part is, you can customize it to your liking.
How to :
- Open up setting either from the app drawer or the notifications tray.
- Scroll down and find “Swipe Shortcuts”. Select it.
- You can change the options for the shortcut circles from here.
Take note that you will not be able to change the center spot assigned to Google Now (which has been set by default). You can change the left and right spots to your own shortcuts. Set them to open up your most used or favorite applications, speed dialing a certain someone or choose from a list of shortcuts that BlackBerry has made available for you (eg. sending a BBM or starting a Google Sheets document).
