UPDATE: Here’s a Confirmed Workaround For Logging Back Into The Sideloaded Instagram App On BlackBerry 10

Earlier this week we passed onto everyone that was using the sideloaded Instagram app that if you logged out of the app that it was not letting you back in. Well today we have received some great news for anyone that was having this issue, there is a confirmed workaround.

DeRoy Johnson has passed the following information on to us to share with all of you.

You have to tap/click on forgot password? and reset with facebook, log onto facebook, and POOF your back into INSTAGRAM!!!!!!!!!!! just received my Z10 from AT&T yesterday!! hope this helps.

So as DeRoy has said above just follow these very simple steps to get Instagram working again.

  • Open the app on your BlackBerry device.
  • Tap on the log in button.
  • Tap the Forgot Password tab.
  • Choose to reset password with Facebook.
  • Then just log in Facebook and choose your new password.
  • From there just go back to the Instagram app and you will be able to use it again.

We do have confirmed reports that this is a solid workaround so if you have Instagram sideloaded then this method should let you back in. If you still haven’t loaded the app but want too download the file here. For any of you that are unsure of the steps on how to sideload then checkout out our post on How To Sideload Android Apps Onto Your BlackBerry 10 Device and just follow the easy step to step instructions.

UPDATE: Here’s a new work around to get Instagram working on your BlackBerry Z10.

  • If you have Instagram already on your device delete it so we can start from the beginning.
  • Install Instagram to your Z10 but DO NOT open the app at all once it’s installed.
  • On an Android, iPhone , iPad, iPod Touch, (or download BlueStacks onto your desktop computer) log onto your Instagram account.
  • Go to your profile on Instagram and view one of your photos then on the bottom right corner there is a 3 dot menu tab, click on it and click on “Share” then click on “Facebook”.
  • Log in using your Facebook info when prompted.
  • Make sure you follow the instructions as it should be asking you to access Facebook through Instagram on your behalf.
  • Once the Instagram photo you shared on Facebook was successful then go ahead open the Instagram app on your Z10.
  • Click on “Log In” then “Forgot Password?” then “Reset Using Your Facebook”.
  • Please remember the “ResetUsingYourFacebook” is self-explanatory, it is asking you to log in using your Facebook information in order to re-set your Instagram information.
  • Just follow the instructions. Make sure you reset your Instagram password to a brand new password to something you have never used before.

I followed these directions step for step (I used the BlueStacks way) and I was able to get Instagram running fine on mine. Good Luck.

Thanks for sending this info in DeRoy.
