Our forums manager markaveli420 put together a nice review using the fresh BGT Aero theme. The theme is both OS5 and BlackBerry 6 OS compatible, continue reading for the review.
This is a premium theme created by BGT (Berry Good Themes). BGT has a reputation of making quality themes, and this one is no exception. This theme is called Aero and is v1.0 right now. I’m reviewing the OS6 version.
I automatically liked the fonts. Throughout this theme it uses a unique style font. The clock at the center top catches your eye. Uses silver, grey, blue and purple color scheme. All of the colors combine well and look great. The current date is placed at the top left. Everywhere you see the cool looking font. The layout of this theme is similar to Alumin by BGT.
When opening menu screen it activates a transition. It moves from left (when opening) to right when closing. Also does this for Media and Applications, when selecting from the dock. When opening applications from home or menu screen it has another transition (fade in and fade out). Both of the transitions are nice.
13 icons – with sliding dock. Non hidable. Responsive and fast while scrolling. Backround is a really light silver color, then it has the other colors which creates a contrast between light and dark colors. The dark colors being the purple and blue. Selection color for menus is a light silver. For the icons its darker shade, a grey. For themes silver is one of my favorite colors and one of the best colors to use in my opinion.
Custom icons that are black when selected and white otherwise. Very nice looking and go well with the concept of this theme. Custom new message indicator. Battery level is at bottom left and signal at bottom right. Located at top left is sound profiles. Its always nice having a sound profiles icon somewhere on the homescreen so you can change your sound whenever need be. No weather dock.
I love this theme and am glad. I got to review it for you all. That way I can share how much this theme rocks. This is one of my new favorites by BGT. The best way to describe this theme in a single word is perfection. After reviewing this I will gladly give this theme a solid 5/5 rating. If you like BGT themes or if you are looking for a stylish yet simple theme this is the perfect theme for you.
