UK retailer Carphone Warehouse has released a hands-on video of the BlackBerry Priv today, alongside the launch of pre-orders for the device.
The hands-on video doesn’t show us much we didn’t already know, but it appears to be the first video we’ve seen of the phone’s final revision.
Carphone Warehouse, who will be the exclusive UK retailer for the Priv, also provides the first official breakdown of the phone’s specs on their website. The BlackBerry Priv will indeed use a Snapdragon 808 processor as rumoured, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Their website also confirms that the 5.4-inch display will have a Quad HD resolution and use AMOLED technology.
The rear camera is listed at 18-megapixels with dual LED flash, while the front-facing camera is said to be 2MP – contrary to rumours of a 5MP selfie camera. It also appears that the device will indeed launch with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, despite the recent release of Android Marshmallow.
The BlackBerry Priv will be launching next month, with Carphone Warehouse expecting to ship the device by November 6th. You can find more details and pre-order the device on Carphone Warehouse’s website here.
