As mentioned earlier this week, the BlackBerry Priv is now available to pre-order in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. The Android-powered Priv will be priced at $699 in the US, $899 in Canada and £559 in the UK.
On the pre-order page for the handset, it states that the smartphone is not compatible with Verizon, Sprint or US Cellular, however, that isn’t anything surprising considering the fact that previous phones were normally sold at ShopBlackBerry without the compatibility. Therefore, we’ll just have to wait for the CDMA carriers to make an announcement on their own.
The BlackBerry Priv sports a 5.4-inch dual-curved display and features a an elegant slim design with a slide out physical keyboard and touchscreen keyboard. Under the hood, there is a 3,410 mAh capacity battery that should keep the phone up and going for as long as 22.5 hours according to BlackBerry. Its 18 MP dual-flash Schneider-Kreuznach certified camera should keep you satisfied with beautiful photo capturing and to top things off, the phone has a microSD card slot that is capable of reading up to 2TB microSD cards.
BlackBerry will begin shipping the smartphone on November 6th in the United States.
