BlackBerry PlayBook Game Review: Gravitee Wars

Gravitee WarsFor all of my PlayBook owners, I suggest you play this game. Well, if you like to play games or want one that’s a great time killer, Gravitee Wars is right for you. My buddy John suggested I play this game and I’ve been addicted ever since. I downloaded this game a few days ago and already have more than 40 hours logged; the accomplishments you see in the images were completed within 4 or 5 days. It’s a tad bit ridiculous for me to spend so much time playing it, but it’s an awesome game. Keep reading for more images. The game takes place on tiny planets in the middle of space. The object is to defeat all of the opposing characters by launching various weapons at them. The weapons you fire can be manipulated by the gravitee(gravity) from the surrounding planets or sun. There are also blue shields that are placed that can deflect weapons. In the image below you can see the different weapons. Gravitee Wars Weapons Each weapon does a specific amount of damage when it’s a direct hit. The first rocket launcher is unlimited and the other weapons have a 5 ammo maximum. When firing a weapon, examine the target and give it a good trajectory so it will have some time to travel to the enemy; if done properly, it could receive one of three multipliers. Example: The Nuke does 80 damage(direct hit) + it poisons anyone standing on the same planet. If the explosion is a little far from the character, it will do less damage(calculated well by the game). Now, if you’re Nuke travels long enough to get the x2 multiplier, it will do 160 damage. If it gets the x3, 240 damage and the x4 320 damage(by that time, the enemy will go flying off the planet at light speed) There are weapons that explode and a few that just hit the enemy. If your weapon explodes, you can shoot it at the correct position(near the feet) to cause a character to go flying away and as long as it was a powerful explosion, gravitee will have no effect on the enemy returning to a planet.

There are achievements that you can unlock after completing specific tasks.Gravitee Wars RewardsYou may find out what’s necessary to gain these achievements by highlighting them in the rewards/awards screen.Gravitee Wars Awards
There are a total of 6 characters that you can have on your own team and it costs money purchase them. Gravitee Wars CharactersTo build your character you’ll need to enhance their accuracy and increase the amount of damage they can take. It costs 5000 to purchase new characters and it’s 500 to upgrade their abilities.

Finally, there are 5 sectors with 5 levels within each.Gravitee Wars LevelsThe game is turn based so, if you complete the levels within a certain number of turns, you’ll be able to earn gold medals.
