BBM for BlackBerry 10 is now available through BlackBerry Beta Zone, therefore if you’re a part of the beta, you can now download the latest release on your BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The updated application does not offer a lot of new features like it did in the previous update, however, there is still one worth mentioning.
New features that have been added :
- Request a Glympse – You now have the ability to request a Glympse from a friend to find out their realtime location. This will only work if both users are on the latest client.
- BBM Search Update – The search results from BBM Search should now be more accurate and they should take you to the first instance of the matched results.
How to update :
If you already have BlackBerry Beta Zone, you can update BBM by going to the downloads tab. Take note that BlackBerry Beta Zone is not available in all regions and you should back up your BBM chats by going to BBM -> Settings -> Switch “Save Chat History” to ON -> Back-up Now.
