Are you surprised that Verizon, AT&T and Best Buy have dropped the price of the BlackBerry Z10 to a quarter of the normal price? I’ve used the BlackBerry Z10 for about 3-4 months, loved the device and the BlackBerry Z10 OS, the question is why are all these companies dropping the prices on such a great device. Are sales that bad? It may not be as bad as it seems, this is somewhat normal as new devices are rolling out.
I would say people hear about BlackBerry not doing so good as a company in its transitioning stage with new CEO Thorsten Heins, who has been in office for over a year now but still making several changes in the day to day operations, including laying off several mid-level employees.
BlackBerry should continue spending quality dollars on marketing and let users know, sometimes you just have to step out of your comfort zone, stop believing everything you read and try the device, if BlackBerry would do that and people actually go out and test the device for at least a week I would say 7 out of 10 people will keep it.
Until BlackBerry figures out a strategy to get the product in consumers hands we won’t know the value of the device if not everyone is given a chance to see it either via by marketing or test it for a longer period of time before purchasing it.
If interested in trying the BlackBerry Z10, right now is the best time to do so with such a large price drop. Get it via AT&T($49.99 with contract), Verizon (as low as 1 penny with a contract) or through Best Buy.
