Amazon App Store Landing on BlackBerry OS?

The Amazon Appstore is set to launch in the US in March, with a UK release to follow. They have revealed that it will offer both free and paid apps for Google-branded devices running Android 1.6 and above at launch. Amazon Appstore project leader Aaron Rubenson, stated that the third-party app store wont just be taking on Google‘s Android Market, but hopes to appear on multiple platforms.

“Our intent is to provide a vast selection to customers from multiple operating systems,” he revealed. “Although the store will feature Android apps at launch, we will evaluate opportunities to expand our selection on an ongoing basis.”
