SecureX Gets New Features and Bug Fixes

We already know that BlackBerry offers splendid security for its mobile devices to protect data, but if you want that extra layer of protection, you should consider having a look at SecureX for BlackBerry 10. The app is a pattern and number lock application that allows its users to customize their lock screen and protect their data from people trying to access their smartphone without permission.

The developers have rolled out some new features and bug fixes for the app.

New features that were added to the updated app :

#1. The addition of Remote Security.

Remote Security lets users set up the application to email GPS locations on Google Maps. In  addition, it takes pictures using the front camera to send to a specific email address whenever an action occurs (eg. when prompted for password, when an incorrect password has been entered or when the app unlocks the device). Therefore, if someone stole your smartphone and tries to  use your phone, you’ll know where it is and have a photo of the person.

#2. Minor bug fixes have been made.

#. Addition of new themes :

  • Disc
  • Halloween
  • Heart
  • Invisible
  • Sailboat

SecureX is available at BlackBerry World for $1.99 US. You can purchase the app here.
