BBM LogoBlackBerry is slowly branching out in bringing its software and services to other major platforms, already covering iOS and Android, soon so support Windows Phone on their BES 10 service, however there are still no plans to bring one of their most popular software’s in BBM to Windows.

According to Trusted Reviews David Proulx, BlackBerry’s Senior Director of BBM Business Development was quoted as “It [the continuing lack of a BBM Windows Phone app] is entirely market driven,” “Our initial launch on iOS and Android was a function of the prevalence of those platforms.”

David also went off to say “As other platforms emerge, whichever they may be, we will execute on those platforms as well.”

There is no rule out yet, it is just not currently in the plans as of now. I think BlackBerry should definitely target Windows Phone as it seems to be an emerging platform with a growing user base. What do you all think about BBM going to Windows Phones? Would you want to see it happen?
