With BlackBerry currently downsizing its number of employees, Apple seems to try and recruit some of them as invites were sent via LinkedIn to a select number of BlackBerry employees.
Apple reportedly held this event, a recruitment session on September 26th, not too far from the Waterloo based office.
According to the LinkedIn invite sent from Apple to BlackBerry employees:
“Most positions will be based in Cupertino, CA.,” according to a LinkedIn invite sent to certain BlackBerry employees and obtained by the Financial Post. “Relocation and immigration assistance will be provided for candidates that are hired, as needed.”
While this is not necessarily a bad thing, Apple seems to be on top of recruiting the highly knowledgeable, hard working BlackBerry employees as layoffs are concurrent.
