BlackBerry Previews New Cloud-based Internet of Things Platform at CES

  While many of us are saddened that BlackBerry axed it’s traditional BlackBerry World Conference, they’ve definitely delivered at this years annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES) taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Porsche Design BlackBerry P’9983 Receives Certification in Indonesia

Porsche and BlackBerry remain in cahoots as a Porsche Design BlackBerry P’9983 may come to life based on the info-graphic found over at e-Postel.  It’s been reported that the 3rd generation P series, the P’9983 has landed approval in Indonesia, making it the first Porsche Design BB10 powered QWERTY device. It’s speculated that the P’9983 will model after the BlackBerry Classic, focusing its luxurious design with menu buttons, a trackpad and the ever- so missed back button.

BlackBerry and 7Digital Partner Up, Launching New Music Service Soon

It’s been reported that BlackBerry and 7Digital have partnered up and  is set launch a new music service. This comes after 7Digital’s share price took a dip when BlackBerry announced its former music and video catalog would be taken out of the BlackBerry World app store. The new deal, estimated at £1m-plus will offer BlackBerry customers a music service through August 2015. It will be a win-win situation as  BlackBerry users will be able to access the music service and 7Digital will handle all music sales rather than sharing them, turning all of the profits to 7Digital.

Good-bye 2013, Hello 2014

Looking ahead into the new calendar year we know BlackBerry is operating under a new Chief Executive Officer in John Chen who has been vocal about the positive turnaround he intends to take BlackBerry. How this is done is going to be through change. A change in management and a change of future structure is needed so the company can not only become profitable again but survive.

Bring on the SuperPhone, BlackBerry Not Slowing Down on Handsets Per New CEO John Chen

For a moment many were thinking the Z10, Q10, Q5 and Z30 would be the last smartphone from BlackBerry after it executed its bid to go private reaching the due diligence deadline today. The fairfax deal didn’t go through as scheduled but it’s still going to fund a handsome amount for a hopeful return. With that, BlackBerry let go of Thorsten Heins and appointed Mr. John Chen as interim CEO of the company.
