A native BlackBerry 10 app in Watch2Watch allows BlackBerry users to connect with their Pebble smartwatch, while it is currently in its beta stages it does allow for limited capability of sending direct messages to and from the Pebble smartwatch to a BlackBerry 10 device.
Talk2Watch (10.2 OS +). Here’s the requirements :
– Talk2Watch installed and running.
– You will need to enable UDP listening on port 8989 in Talk2Watch settings, under Network.
– You need to know the Pebble ID (PIN) of the recipient, this is the last 4 letters after “Pebble ” in bluetooth name.
You can send a Direct Message (DM) straight from the app or you can create UDP scripts with pre-canned messages, here’s how to create one :
– Add script
– Title : What you want
– Trigger : What you want (ie: 011)
– Protocol/Action : UDP
– Server IP : 127.0.0.1
– Port : 8484
– Command : <PIN>##<Message>
The command line should not include the brackets (<>), a valid command should look like this :
9359##Hey Roger, what’s up?
