Streeter and Amir are here to set the record straight. RIM is kicking off the second generation of the BBM Challenge Council today.

Young people across the globe are turning to BlackBerry for their smartphone needs, creating a powerful, vibrant community of fans who are both technology-savvy and looking for new ways to connect in real time. Recognizing the global trend, RIM launched the inaugural BBM Challenge Council Program this past October, which partnered aspiring young adults with some of today’s top celebrity influencers, including Greyson Chance, Whitney Port and Hope Solo.

The new Challenge Council Project is designed to engage with the youth market about how BlackBerry smartphones can help you get things done. Through a series of five webisodes, popular comedic actors/producers Streeter Seidell and Amir Blumenfeld (best known for MTV’s Pranked and CollegeHumor.com) will demonstrate product truths about BlackBerry devices. With the help of special celebrity cameos from some of the top influencers in the youth market — Greyson Chance, Leighton Meester, Dax Shepard, Christina Milian, and Sky Blu from LMFAO — each Challenge Council webisode will examine key functionalities about BlackBerry smartphones while engaging participants in challenges. Winners will receive cool prizes, such as tickets to exclusive events and all-inclusive trips they can share with their friends.

Being unveiled today, the first video will feature young musical sensation Greyson Chance, challenging today’s youth to submit a video of their best performance of their favorite song from BBM™ Music. The winner will get the star treatment at a major music festival.

RIM is looking forward to continuing to connect with its youth fan base through this program. Regularly tune into the BBM Challenge Council to check out the new webisode challenges and entries from participants.
