The newest addition to the BBE Blog team, Joe.S from U.K, has spotted a press release from UberMedia, makers of Ubertwitter explaining the suspension situation of their Twitter client. After reading the press release, I noticed that Uber will be back up running soon, but that isn’t going to happen without a name change.
One of the requests Twitter has asked Ubermedia, is to change their trademarked name so no issues of dilution arise. After polling and research, Ubermedia has decided to rename uberwitter to UberSocial, which was decided today, Feb 18th.
UberTwitter users, what do you think of the name UberSocial? Does the name SocialScope sound familiar? Uber also copped SS’s layout, added multiple twitter account support and even added Facebook integration. I really don’t know what to say about Uber these days.
