This report comes from The National. They have reported that the UAE is going to suspend BlackBerry services for a period of four hours early on Sunday.The reason? Routine maintenance by Research in Motion (RIM). The UAE’s largest telecommunications company Etisalat, has advised its BlackBerry customers via text message that ALL internet service-related applications may be affected from 6am until 10am. It is also understood that the maintenance will extend to other countries and is not related to negotiations between RIM and the UAE Government.
So if you’re in the area and your BB service stops working, take a deep breath and relax. It will be back by lunch time!
