As we mentioned yesterday, T-Mobile was set to deliver a new OS update for BlackBerry 10 devices that will include WiFi calling, the actual app is now available to T-Mobile customers in BlackBerry World as well, appearing on both BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 devices. What is Wi-Fi calling?
Wi-Fi Calling from T-Mobile lets you make calls over a Wi-Fi network even when cell coverage is unavailable.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be a T-Mobile customer with an emergency address on file and running a compatible version of BlackBerry 10 OS to use Wi-Fi Calling. After downloading the app, please go to MyAccount – Account Info – Settings & Support – 911 Address to set your 911 address. You can also view the Wi-Fi Calling tutorial in the Help section of the application to get more information about using this powerful feature. **Wi-Fi calling will only work on 10.1.0.4780 bundles and above.
