Usually we give help instructions but this time, this post is a little different. One of our moderators, stillborn86 has been dealing with an issue and hes trying to get to the bottom of it. For no reason, his phone will automatically go into speakerphone mode. The interesting thing is that it doesn’t need to be plugged in for this problem to occur. Let’s let Stillborn explain the situation so you can see for youself
I have noticed this issue for the last couple of months, but as many of you know, I have been AWOL for a little while and haven’t had a lot of time to get on top of this issue until now. This is the problem that I have been having: When on it’s side during a call (happens more when on a charger but also happens without the charger) my phone will automatically go into speakerphone mode. I don’t even have to be touching the screen (as seen in the video) which is really annoying.I’m a lazy individual and, when I’m not using my headset, I like to lay the phone on my shoulder and up against the side of my face instead of holding it. It get REALLY annoying when it does this and the LOUD speakerphone blows out the inner parts of my ear without warning. Watch in the video for yourself. Anyone have any ideas? Through my experience, I had this issue recur, but like many others, only when it was plugged in. My fix was I called my carrier (T-Mobile) and got a replacement phone. As long as your weather stickers are still white, then you should be good. Once those weather stickers turn pink or red, any warranty or replacement is over, i’m sure many of you have gone through a similar siituation. So Stillborn, if nothing else, try haggling with Verizon and get another one at no costs, just your time. Anyone know of a fix or solution? Hit up the forum thread and share!
