Sheath by The World of Pootermobile is one of the first themes I installed on my BlackBerry. Why this one? Simple. Sheath is an elegant theme that uses smooth transitions, a beautiful vertical dock with text icons, and a clean layout that looks sleek and professional with any background you choose. And having Poots to give you on-screen instructions is an added bonus!
This theme has a beautiful semi-transparent text icon dock that is present when you first install the theme. TWP’s mascot, Poots (who is simply adorable!) provides on-screen instruction on how to hide (esc)and un-hide(space) the dock. A very clever feature that reminds you how to use the theme the next time you install it, though this theme is so great, you will have it on your berry for awhile, I’m sure. The little speaker icon on the top of the screen is a hot spot for your profiles, and the signal meter takes you to manage connections.
When you hide the dock, an OCD slot is revealed, which I use for weather, but you could place whatever favorite app you wanted to show on your screen. The elegant vertical dock with customizable text icons based on placement on the app screen, compliments the theme well. The animated focus image resembles a sword and when you scroll through the icons, the text pops from small to large so you can focus on the app you want to access. There are 11 icons for keyboard devices (15 for touchscreen), so you can have your most used apps right there on the home screen.
But you will want to access your app screen at some point just to see the beautiful custom icons! I love them, so different and original. The black background flows well with the look and feel of the theme. This theme runs very smooth and the navigation is so useful and easy, which I like. It’s not complicated and allows you to get to what you need quickly and easily.
Pootermobile has developed a unique theme that is truly classic. It is beautifully thought out and looks super with any wallpaper, and you know how I love that!
