Another cross platform messaging app has hit BlackBerry. Samsung has officially released their native messenger client – ChatOn Messaging app for BlackBerry.BB becomes the fourth supported operating system supported by ChatON (Android, BADA and iOS already supported). It is currently only available for download via OTA. We cannot as yet confirm its arrival in App World anytime soon or anytime at all.
The app itself looks and sounds pretty cool. Though its not as superior as BBM, it is definitely a Whatsapp killer. Its comes as a good addition which does all the stuff it shows and further enriches social communication experience.
How it will function in terms of battery life, memory management, etc is yet to be seen but it is apparent that Samsung does recognise BlackBerry users as relevant when it comes to messaging.
