RIM Patents BlackBerry with Rotating QWERTY/Numeric Key Board

In February of 2009, Research in Motion filed a patent which allowed for the development of a device which keypad can be slid out and rotated on an axis between a numerical and QWERTY lay out. After reviewing the blue print of the design you can see that upon sliding down the keypad the numerical pad will be exposed vertically and upon rotation it will reveal the QWERTY pad on a horizontal axis making a more comfortable, convenient and stylish device. With the patent being registered for over a year now, it is hard to believe that a prototype is not already in production. When will this new BlackBerry be “flipping” on the competition? RIM hasn’t said anything yet but do they ever?
