A few weeks ago it was reported that RIM was in the mix of creating a BlackBerry Media Box to compete with Apple TV.  Well it looks like we might see this feature soon because the Nerdberry boys have confirmed with sources that this new service is expected to roll out some time in the fall and will sport the codename “Cyclone”.  Check below for details

Connect to your TV via HDMI
WiFI enabled
Netflix
YouTube
Access to media devices on the WiFI network
More to come!

As of now, the hub will resemble the BlackBerry presenter and will come preloaded with some great apps including Netflix and Youtube. As of now there is no official confirmation on the Cyclone by RIM so let’s keep our ears open.
