RIM Launches BlackBerry 7 Smartphones in Cambodia


Today, Research In Motion launched four new BlackBerry smartphones in Cambodia, all powered by BlackBerry 7 OS.  The newly-launched phones will be made available for the public tomorrow, through authorized BlackBerry partners.

In a press release issued today by Research In Motion, four new phones will be made available for Cambodia, namely:

  • The new BlackBerry Bold 9900
  • BlackBerry Bold 9790
  • BlackBerry Curve 9360
  • BlackBerry Curve 9380

Nicholas Horton, Managing Director for Indochina at RIM shared that the company is “pleased to bring these four new BlackBerry 7 smartphones to customers in Cambodia.”  Horton further noted, “The BlackBerry solution offers an industry leading mobile communications experience that customers love and we think they will be thrilled by the faster performance, enhanced browsing, richer multimedia and localized support delivered by the powerful new BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Curve smartphones.”

Editor’s Note: It seems that Research In Motion is really doing their homework and pressing hard to turn things around.  Although overwhelming reports from various media sites have posted  articles on “RIM’s decline” (with some even saying “Bye Bye BlackBerry”), this is a good indicator that Research In Motion continues to remain focused on delivering excellent products and service throughout the mobile computing and telecommunications world…the BlackBerry world.
