The announcement about Marineau-Mes’s most recent award was made by QNX last June 29, 2012 on their official website.  Here are some excerpts from QNX’s announcement:

In association with the Telfer School of Management, Marineau-Mes was chosen by a selection committee consisting of members of CATA’s Board of Directors and industry experts. Voting by CATA members through an online voting poll was also taken into consideration.

“Once again, Sebastien’s outstanding work ethic, leadership, and technical skills have deservedly been recognized,” said Derek Kuhn, vice president, sales and marketing, QNX Software Systems. “Through his nearly fourteen years of service, he has significantly enhanced the success of our organization. We could not be more proud of him.”

Marineau-Mes is responsible for all research and development activities relating to the BlackBerry OS, including security, networking, media, graphics, web runtime, and development tools, as well as for QNX software products, such as the QNX CAR™ application platform.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Marineau-Mes was recognized by Embedded Computing Design magazine as the Top Innovator in Embedded Design for Software.

With such recognition (again!) being accorded to the Senior Vice President for BlackBerry OS, it’s no wonder that BlackBerry 10 continues to be well anticipated by the BlackBerry world.

Congratulations from BlackBerry Empire!
