President Obama’s Mobile Broadband Agenda

Yesterday was the annual State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress, President Obama took the stage and delivered an outlined broad agenda for transforming the global economy.

His address ranged from clean energy to information and technology. Obama then announced the administration’s National Wireless Initiative, which aims to spur network providers to deploy high-speed broadband service to 98 percent of the population over the next five years.

“This isn’t about a faster Internet, fewer dropped calls. It’s about connecting every part of America to the digital age,” Obama said.
