The Traffic app was developed by Philippine BlackBerry Developer Group (PinoyBBdev) for the MMDA, and was launched on AppWorld last Thursday.

The BlackBerry app allows users to view the following information:

  • Traffic situation in Map or Line View.
  • Traffic assessment for major highways: EDSA, C5, SLEX, Roxas Blvd, Ortigas, Commonwealth, Marcos Highway, Katipunan, Espana, & Quezon Ave.
  • Problem areas to avoid
  • Built-in MMDA FAQs for guidance/reference
  • MMDA Directory

Currently, the developers are still working on improvements to map compatibility for  BlackBerry 9800 series devices.

The official MMDA Traffic App is one that has been highly anticipated by BlackBerry users in the Philippines, following similar apps previously released on iOS and Android, and Metro Live for BlackBerry.
