Earlier this week, two new apps have been made readily available for BlackBerry users. The first app that has been released is RIM’a official BlackBerry Traffic app. The app is free to the public, and is now available in the BlackBerry App World today. If you’re unfamiliar with Traffic, the GPS app aids drivers by providing real-time information concerning one’s travel between two given locations. Using historical traffic patterns and real-time data gleaned from other users in the area, BlackBerry Traffic displays travel times, alternate routes, and incident reports much like a competing app, Waze. Traffic even has a sharing feature to broadcast one’s ETA using SMS, e-mail, or BlackBerry PIN. Finally,, BlackBerry Traffic adds location-based advertising by offering deals near your chosen route. The next app on the list is for Torch owners who are subscribed to at&t.
myWireless Mobile for BlackBerry Torch is now available, allowing wireless subscribers to manage family and individual accounts directly from one’s device.
myWireless Mobile makes account management quick and simple from anywhere with features such as:
- Bill payment
- Tracking of voice and data usage
- Paperless billing
- Schedule Payments – Elect payment date based on when you’ll have funds available
- AutoPay – Sign-up for automatic payments and your payment will always arrive on time
- Locate Wi-Fi Hotspots – Identify and connect to thousands of WiFi hotspots nationwide
To download the app, subscribers should visit myWireless Mobile from the phone’s Web browser and follow the instructions, or download the app by searching for “mywireless mobile” in the AT&T App Center or BlackBerry App World.
