Ramadan has officially started across the globe for all Muslims and in the spirit of it all, BlackBerry is offering free apps for all our Muslim brothers and sisters fasting.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calender in which all Muslims observe the the month by fasting from dawn till sunset each and every day for the entire month, lasting for 29 or 30 days. Not only can they not consume food or drink, they must refrain from sexual activities and avoid using cuss words.
Just like the previous application giveaways in which BlackBerry has held such as Christmas and Valentines, users in select countries will be able to download a free app every day for the rest of the Ramadan month. To kick things off, the first app up for grabs is Salat – The prayer application for all Muslims.
