NFC for BlackBerry Q5 To Be Market-Dependent

blackberry-q5The BlackBerry Q5 which was announced at BlackBerry Live is a BlackBerry 10 ground-breaker to markets outside North America. Its availability is starting to show in in certain markets and we’ll shortly see the BB10 platform take off on a global scale. When comparing the Q5 to the Q10 some features come similar but also different so users and developers take more than a glance at the BlackBerry Q5. Below is an infograph outlining its differences, for starters.

The Q5 will be introduced as an entry-level  device so its expected to have a little less power than the Q10-Z0. One important thing to note is that you’ll notice NFC is market-dependent.

This means not every Q5 sold will come with NFC and if it does not, it is more than likely due to each market’s requisite for NFC at the moment. With evolving technology, especially in mobile features such as NFC should not be counted out. Q5 users who happen to live in a market where NFC isn’t available you can always use QR Codes and Bluetooth for connecting, receiving and sharing.
