Luke Reimer from Inside BlackBerry Blogs sits down with Andy Gstoll, CMO of Wikitude, to introduce myWorld by Wikitude.
With myWorld, Andy says they are giving the users the power to create their own places, and recommend those places to their friends.
You’ll also be able to access a network of locations generated by friends, colleagues, and family members that includes photos, comments and recommendations. Wikitude myWorld also integrates with Evernote geotagging, as well as Facebook®. To download the app for BlackBerry® 6 or BlackBerry® 7 OS smartphones, head over to the BlackBerry App World™ storefront.
You can also check out the Wikitude app on Facebook, and find out more about Wikitude on Facebook and by following @wikitude on Twitter®. -Inside BlackBerry Blogs
To access myWorld, it does appear that you have to have a Facebook account to login and share those places you have been.
Wikitude is available for OS7 and OS6 devices, although, the augmented reality portion will not work on OS6 devices, myWorld is available to OS6 users.
NOTE TO OS6 USERS: under specific circumstances the update from an older Wikitude version may not complete successfully. In this case, please delete the old version by going to Options – Device – Application Management – Wikitude, delete the application and try again.
