Microsoft Outlook 2010 32-Bit BlackBerry Desktop Manager Support Coming in August

When dealing with technology, we all know that it is a perpetual process that will always make our everyday lives easier and help us to be more efficient in the things we do. A part of being associated with technology, comes the responsibility to accommodate to the perpetual cycle that never stops. Where im going with this is simple. Rim needs to hurry and add support for Microsoft Outlook 2010 with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0.1. From intermediate users to heavy-users like myself, to BES users, we all would love to have this support added. The top reason why most BlackBerry users love their smartphones is because of RIM’s efficient e-mail platform. Microsoft Outlook plays a huge part in the way we e-mail today. It is unfortunate RIM has not gotten on the ball and had this support added already.  However finally we were notified with some good news. RIM spoke and had these words to say…

” The next release of BlackBerry Desktop Manager provides support for Microsoft Outlook 2010 32-bit version only. This release is targeted for August 2010. Support for Microsoft Outlook 2010 64-bit version will be available in 2011.”

Two things can be taken from this. First, Microsoft Outlook 2010 32-bit will be coming with a Desktop Manager update scheduled for August 2010. It is the first step, so admins trying to use it on servers might raise some questions. Second, Support for Microsoft Outlook 2010 64-bit version will be available in 2011. Woo! Be sure to help and share, this is a FAQ that comes up a lot!
