If you don’t know who this woman is, you’re probably living under a rock with dial up internet. Kim Kardashian, the famous socialite turned celebrity has always been known to carry a BlackBerry smartphone. In 2014, to this date, she still loves and uses the BlackBerry Bold, arguably one of the best BlackBerry models ever released.Â
It gets better, not only is she using a BlackBerry Bold 9900, she has 3 of them in which she purchased from eBay, just incase one of them breaks. The reason why she uses them? To type out angry emails. Read the following excerpt from the original article, the Re/Code interview:
Swisher asks about her favorite phone. Yep. She says it’s still a BlackBerry, though she has an iPhone. The reason why, she explains, is to type out angry emails. She uses a BlackBerry Bold that they don’t sell in stores anymore, so she buys them on eBay until they break. “I have anxiety that I will run out, and that BlackBerry will go extinct … I’m on a mission to make that not happen.”
It doesn’t say which Bold, but I’m guessing it’s the 9790 or the Bold 9900. Say what you want about her – but this is golden publicity for BlackBerry, even so much to declare she indeed has a BlackBerry Passport, but hasn’t turned it on yet. She also has an iPhone which she uses for her social networking.
However, she must not know BlackBerry is offering the Bold 9900 directly from their website. Either way, we’re happy she’s still on Team BlackBerry.
