Have you ever had to wait for your colleagues to arrive late for your meeting? Or have you ever had to deal with your kid getting impatient as you both wait to be seated at a restaurant? Well, the guys at MMMOOO may just have the app for those long, boring moments…The Talking Monkey.
The Talking Monkey is MMMOOO’s recent addition to its growing number of apps. This was released just yesterday, and we gave it a quick try, to see what it really does. Here’s what we found.
MMMOOO’s Talking Monkey, as with their other apps, seems well built. The graphics are quite smooth. Animations, although a little buggy on our test unit (which had quite a number of apps installed), turned out well.
Aside from its pre-recorded grunts, laughter, etc., the Talking Monkey app also allows you to record your voice and play it, as if the monkey was the one speaking your words. Recording quality was good.
There are four buttons that allow you to play with the Talking Monkey. If that’s not enough, poke on the body parts of the monkey with your touchscreen phone and see what happens.
The app takes 5.8mb on your phone and doesn’t require much security permissions (except to use your phone mic).
Although in essence, the app is fairly simple in function, we see this helping ease those long boring moments people encounter from time to time. It was entertaining and funny. It’s the kind of app you definitely want to keep handy if you have kids, who tend to be impatient and love playing with your phone.
The description on AppWorld indicates it’s free “forever”. Well, the guys at MMMOOO informed BlackBerryEmpire that it will be free forever if you take part of their promo by leaving a positive review and emailing them for a chance to win free registration. They plan on making this a paid app in the near future, so in effect, it is free for a limited time only.
