john-chenBlackBerry CEO John Chen puts his odds of turning BlackBerry around at 50:50 in a recent interview with Financial Times, while some sites have been falsely reporting this as 50% chance of survival that is definitely not the case or point Mr. Chen made.

His plans are to not only turn BlackBerry into a niche player only but a dominant player, his first major move device wise is the launching of the BlackBerry Z3 which is set to go on sale in April for under $200 in emerging markets beginning with Indonesia.

John Chen reiterates the time to execute is now, sounds like he is changing the culture of BlackBerry, as you could see he is not over promising as previous CEO’s have done so in the past, now it is just time to deliver.
