Itaú Unibanco upgrades its smartphones and Management Solution to BlackBerry 10

BlackBerry announced today that The Brazilian Bank Itaú Unibanco is upgrading its more than 7,000 BlackBerry smartphones to BlackBerry 10 smartphones. To start, the bank is initially deploying about 1,000 BlackBerry Q5 smartphones and will be upgrading its base to BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1 and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES 10) for enterprise mobility management (EMM).

Itaú Unibanco is a publicly traded bank with headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil. The bank Itaú Unibanco, is a result of a merger between Banco Itaú and Unibanco back in November 2008.
