“The issue occurs when copying data from a BlackBerry to HTC devices only,” said an HTC spokesperson. “For clarity, messages are not sent to anyone who didn’t originally receive them.

“HTC is working to resolve this issue as a matter of urgency. Currently, we are developing, testing and introducing a software update. We will continue to update customers on our progress on a regular basis until this has been resolved. We have already instigated additional quality control steps for software integration.

“We are committed to ensuring excellent quality and user experiences for all our customers, and we regret any inconvenience caused. HTC customers will be notified via their devices that a software update is available and be advised to update when prompted,” said the spokesperson.
