If you’re like me all those BlackBerry Messenger updates that show up within the app are driving you crazy. I mean the ones where people change their display picture or add a new message in their profile and then it’s shows as a update on your end too. In the legacy BlackBerry devices they were easy to shut off, but on my BlackBerry Z10 I haven’t found the setting to just turn them all off at once.
Well here is how I stopped them on my Z10. Open BlackBerry Messenger and you will see on the bottom left a tab with 3 bars on it, tap that.
Once you tap that you will then go to a page that looks like this. On the bottom you will see the BlackBerry Splat icon where it says updates, tap that.
Next it takes you to where all those annoying updates are. From that page long press the update you see and a bar will come out on the right side and on the bottom of that bar you will see a icon to tap.
Once you tap that then you will see a message saying the updates from that contact will no longer show on your BlackBerry 10. Don’t worry it won’t block them from your BlackBerry Messenger as they will still be able to chat with you, it just stops the those updates from showing.
