If you were wondering how to create or delete folders on your BlackBerry Z10 or BlackBerry Q10 device running the BlackBerry 10 OS you came to the right place. Folders can be important for many things such as organizing and grouping similar apps together. To create a folder the first thing you are going to do is:
– Go to your home screen where your apps are listed, press and hold the screen for about 2-3 seconds this will enable delete, toggle, and rearrange mode. After you have tapped on screen your icons should have a trash bin on the top right, that allows you to delete them but it is also in rearrange mode, screen should look like:
Now that the icons are moving you can drag apps to rearrange them, in this case were are going to be making an “Apps” folder using the apps FaceFlow and SayIt. To create this apps folder we are going to drag SayIt into the FaceFlow app like this:
As soon as you drag SayIt into FaceFlow a dialog box like this will appear:
Asking you to Enter a name for the folder. We are naming it “Apps”:
Type name of app and hit create. Your Apps folder has now been created:
Now that you know how to create a folder on your BlackBerry 10 device, to delete a folder is just as easy. All you have to do is turn on “rearrange mode” (press and hold screen for 2-3 seconds) and drag any app down. In this case since there are only two apps if you remove one app the folder will delete itself. So lets drag the SayIt it app down:
As soon as you start moving it down you will see a message at the bottom saying “Drag an app icon here to move it out of the folder”:
After this step has been completed so has your deletion of the folder. If you have any questions feel free to drop a comment.
